Claims

In the event of a claim, it is urgent that you take all reasonable steps to protect yourself and your property from further damage as quickly as possible. For example, if you are in an accident, make sure you get your car to a safe spot quickly, if possible. Make sure to get all information at any time there is a possible claim. Write down dates, times and places, names, addresses and phone numbers of witnesses and involved parties, and keep this information in a safe place. Take photos if possible and do not throw anything away!

Notify the relevant authorities and co-operate with them. However, do not admit fault to anyone, either verbally or in writing. Contact your broker as soon as possible, and provide as many details as you can. If you are served with papers claiming something covered by your insurance, bring them to your broker immediately so they may inform you about your options. The faster a claim is settled, the faster you can be reimbursed. It is important to report claims as quickly as possible.

After you submit your claim, an adjuster will be appointed to your case. The adjuster's job is to make inquiries to settle your claim. These include taking a detailed report from you and anyone else involved in the claim, examining reports and evidence from relevant authorities, and gathering any relevant documents. The adjuster is there to help you get your claim settled properly. Once an agreement has been made with you on the final amount of your claim, you will be paid as quickly as possible.
