Ken Armstrong AIIC, CAIB, CIP

President & CEO - Sussex Insurance Group of Companies

Born in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan in 1943, Ken moved to British Columbia in 1948 with his family, settling in North Vancouver. Ken and his wife Debby have two sons, Jason and Brandon, who are actively involved in the management of his companies. Ken obtained his AIIC designation in 1983 and his CAIB in 1999.

Ken founded the first Sussex Insurance location on West 3rd Street in North Vancouver in 1976 and first introduced the concept of franchising to the British Columbia insurance industry in 1989 when he opened the first Sussex Insurance franchise on Granville Street in Vancouver. Today, the Sussex Insurance Group of Companies operates more than 30 offices throughout BC, with many more offices scheduled to open. Sussex Insurance is BC's largest ICBC Autoplan agent.

After more than thirty years in business in BC, Ken Armstrong is continually looking for new markets and opportunities, ensuring growth in the competitive insurance industry.
